“Still need to dive into the coding side of this badge but already the hardwsre build addresses all of the shortcomings I had with the original badger2040. The buttons are way better, the case covers all of the important bits, it comes with a built in battery + charging so no more sandwiching a lipo amigo into your case. The lanyard and attacent holes being two point to keep the badge oriented forward is a great touch too.”

“Another great board by Pimoroni. Plenty of RAM and Flash, and the installed apps are already worth the price. The e-Ink display is wonderful for low-power jobs.”

“Nifty combination of e-ink screen and battery. Feels robust. The e-ink screen supports white, black and two greys. I’m disappointed that the lighter grey is so close to white. It’s hardly readable.”

“A perfect bit of hardware that is sturdy, well finished and has a nice epaper screen and wirelesss module to experiment with. Great support for programming in micropyton and the extra psram makes larger applications possible.”

“This is the best implementation of this type of product I've seen. I used to browse amazon or local resellers of m5stack for these kinds of things. From now on Pimoroni will be the first website I check when I get an urge to buy stuff like this. The branding is spot on with badgeware.es website, but 1) it would be great to have a section that represents badge apps from users (just simply via submission programme that allows users to add a link to a github repo with their app) 2) deeper/complete documentation, more examples, mabe an online emulator so users can try changing code with live feedback 3) 5G/LTE”

“Documentation is horrible. They don't even tell you what display it uses or any details besides the resolution and that it has 4-level greyscale. How long does it take to update? Does it support partial updates? It's not even clear where the python library is, so you can't get autocomple in your ide or even see all available functions. How am I supposed to write good code when my IDE can't even tell what is an error or not? I'm really dissapointed in Pimoroni for releasing this with such poor support. They built a nice looking website to brag about how cool badgerware is, yet they don't include basic info that advanced users need to use it to its full potential. The first version of the badger, which is half the price, included all of that.”
