“My trusty old 25W Antex iron just wasn't cutting it anymore so I decided to get a TS101 after reading many reviews and watching many Youtube videos. It's a minefield out there though, so I decided to purchase from Pimoroni because I knew they would be selling genuine irons. Yep there were better deals on Amazon but the proliferation of copies and counterfeit goods put me off. I haven't used it in anger yet but have tersted it and i'm amazed at how quick it heats up powered from the charger for my Macbook. I look forward to getting those soldering jobs done now.”
“Great soldering iron. Heats up so quickly that it's no trouble to switch it on and off between joints. I also love the idea that it works off any old power supply you've got hanging around. The only reason I haven't given it five stars, is that it's still a little pricy compared to a 13 quid cheap soldering iron.”
