“Well built and sturdy case for the Pi and touchscreen - I use the Pi's in a lab environment and I needed the extra depth because of a custom hat which just fits in. All in all I really like it - the weight in the base means that the Pi stays where you put it and doesn't get dragged about by the leads and it looks really tidy. The only thing missing is an extension lead for the micro-SD card - you have to take the whole thing apart to change that - the next one I make will have that (I have found one on the Pimorini site!). Al;l in all - it does exactly what I wanted - so much so I have ordered more!”

“These are well-designed cases with a lot of flexibility and well thought out features. They are pricy, but for what you get in the box it doesn't feel like you're being short-changed. The 45mm version has enough space for pretty much anything you'd want to do. I have one with the Pi, a DAC HAT on top, an onoff shim plugged in to the pass-through GPIO header on the HAT, and a header soldered to the top of the onoff shim to connect a power button, and that all fits. With the 25mm you're more restricted. A Pi with a HAT will fit as long as the HAT doesn't have anything on that sticks up more than about 10-11mm above the board. Anything with phono sockets is likely to be too tall. An IQAudio Digi+ hat will fit if you remove the phono connector; the optical port is just about low enough to fit. Alternatively, the set-up in the attached photo works: the HAT mounted on short stand-offs on the second set of mounting points, and fed through its GPIO pass-through header via a ribbon cable cut from an old IDE hard drive cable. (Important: an old 40-wire cable, not a later 80-wire UDMA cable!)”

“I'm quite happy with this but would suggest adding a blank plate with no cut outs for the side ( I mount PI on the inside with no connections exiting ) and addition of a grill plate if fitting the fan to the rear of the enclosure. Also, I am using the touchscreen and HDMI at the same time and had to cut one of the lower vents to allow the HDMI cable to exit.”
