“This is a cunning little package. Rather than use a friction hinge or ball joint, Sonoff have simply create a "cup" that can be attached to a vertical or horizontal surface either with screws or a supplied sticky pad and then magnets keep the sensor attached to the base and which can then be pointed in more or less any direction within a cone of maybe 120(?) degrees. There's no joint to snap off or go brittle. To change the battery simply grab the sensor from the base and open it up.
Seems to work pretty well, I've been trialling it operating some ultra low wattage "pin" lighting when anyone gets up in the night.”

The sensor itself is very accurate, with my current HA setup and there’s no delay on firing my automations that turn the light on the instant motion is detected.”
“The Sonoff SNZB-03P arrived very quickly from Pimoroni, and was setup within a few minutes, easily joining the Zigbee mesh and being added to Z2MQTT on the first attempt. Mounted it on the landing, using the magnetic base so no drilling needed in my case, though everything you need to screw mount or stick it up is provided. The sensor can be moved on the base as needed.
It works well, detecting movement right to the bottom of the stairs, and the ability to set a low motion timeout is very useful.
Time will tell how well the battery lasts, but it's easily replaced. Very happy with it.”
“My Sonoff SNZB-03P from Pimoroni has been great, just what I expected. Removed the battery cover, clicked permit join in Z2MQTT and it appeared almost immediately and shows all the expected entities. 3M pad sticks to the ceiling and magnetic base lets me swivel it around to adjust if needed.
