“Brilliant little thing, I was surprised at how small it actually is. Connection to Home Assistant via Zigbee2MQQT using the ZBT-2.
The sensor itself is very accurate, with my current HA setup and there’s no delay on firing my automations that turn the light on the instant motion is detected.”
“The Sonoff SNZB-03P arrived very quickly from Pimoroni, and was setup within a few minutes, easily joining the Zigbee mesh and being added to Z2MQTT on the first attempt. Mounted it on the landing, using the magnetic base so no drilling needed in my case, though everything you need to screw mount or stick it up is provided. The sensor can be moved on the base as needed.
It works well, detecting movement right to the bottom of the stairs, and the ability to set a low motion timeout is very useful.
Time will tell how well the battery lasts, but it's easily replaced. Very happy with it.”
“My Sonoff SNZB-03P from Pimoroni has been great, just what I expected. Removed the battery cover, clicked permit join in Z2MQTT and it appeared almost immediately and shows all the expected entities. 3M pad sticks to the ceiling and magnetic base lets me swivel it around to adjust if needed. Great value!”
“The motion sensor works well - although I think it could be better if there were different states other than occupancy started and ended available for use.”
“Very happy with this motion sensor. I'd tried IKEA VALLHORN sensors first and these appear to be much more sensitive. They pick up much smaller amounts of motion so they're more reliable for detecting someone sitting reasonably still at a desk for example. The Vallhorns really only detect quite significant movement in my experience. Only 4/5 stars though because I still need the Vallhorns for illuminance which these don't provide and because I'd rather they were powered by rechargeable AAA batteries even if it meant a slightly larger device.”
“Presense sensor seems to work very reliably but the PIR is always detecting. Also randomly becomes unavailable for multiple hours at a time for no apparent reason.”
