For my particular project I ordered the Raspberry Pi High Quality Camera, the Microscope stand with 0.12-1.8x lens and a Raspberry Pi Camera Cable 50cm. I inherited some 8mm and super-8 film from the 1960's and wondered if I could improve on the digital scan of a lab. The microscope lens was of particular interest as the exposed areas of an 8mm film is only 3.3mmx4.5mm. To my excitement the new lens was able to capture that area including the frame. Ideal for single frame frames at 4K resolution. Below an experimental rig and some down-sampled footage.”

“A fine device considering the low price and power consumption. I am using it with a ZeroCam and setting it up as an Ethernet gadget. The Zero connects to a Raspberry Pi 4B via a single USB cable which carries both data and power. That is much faster than using WiFi with a Zero W.”
