Took 12 calendar days to arrive in Canada not bad for regular mail, after all shipping was free, box is a little banged up but board looks OK

Overall, a really disappointing offering by Raspberry Pi. It doesn’t fit easily inside the official case and plastic spacers and screws are a cruel joke. Expected better from Raspberry Pi considering the active cooler and battery were excellent additions to the Pi 5.

Great little board which fits on top of the Raspberry Pi. It even fits inside the official case when used with an active cooler. Negative is that it only fits the more expensive 2220 or 2242 drives.

This is a great 1st party NVMe solution that just works right out of the box. I’m seeing speeds much faster than my previous storage with a USB 3 drive. Overall very happy with this board and also with customer service after the fact with Pimoroni.

Added this to a Pi 5 to put a cheap-ish 256Gb SSD on it. I used an Integral 256GB M.2 NVMe 2242 PCIe Gen3 x4 SSD. It works fine, but I did have to run apt update and upgrade to update the O/S before the drive showed up. To get RPiOS onto it: - imaged an SD card (on my PC) - booted the Pi with it - on the Pi, used the Imager app within RPiOS to image again onto the connected NVME drive - ran sudo raspi-config and in Advanced Options selected the NVME drive for the boot order - job done! Runs really fast. Boots in seconds. Happy.
