Power supply works fine, just a shame that the Pi Foundation decided to use a PD standard that is not in wide use. I have several PD chargers from 45W up to 140W, but none support 5.1V at 27W...

You definitely need the 27w charger to supply the pi 5 with the power it needs, seems to work very well I've had no messages about not enough power. Usb c is a lot better than micro usb which is very fragile.

PSU's power definitely helps when running USB drives and is more stable than similar/alternative power sources. An improvement would be slightly longer cable as it is long enough just to reach a table top from a power socket on the floor, when fiddling it is useful to have a bit more clearance to connect and disconnect devices.

I already have a USB C type 30W adaptor so it is not special however I have a Powerbank I tried to charge and the Pi5 charger would not communicate with it, whereas my already existing 30W charger did.
