“Easy development using Arduino IDE.
I'm using my Picos to control a string of ws2812b LEDs across the front of the house.
Most of the year the lights are just set to activate via a PIR when somebody approaches, acting as a security light.
But it's really neat being able to change them to alternate lighting patterns for special occasions, Christmas, Halloween etc.
Especially with OTA becoming available, so the Pico can be reflashed in situ.
The real beauty of it is that I can leave the lights up all year, too- no need to be clambering up/down ladders once they're installed.”
“Order was filled and received in a very quick manner. I'm very pleased with the Pico W purchase and I am enjoying learning how to program and use the board in my projects. Thanks also for the fantastic pricing for the device.”
“5 picos in a little strip package means that they are easy to keep track of when you want them. Price wise there is no advantage to buying a pack of 5 versus 5 single Pico Ws but who doesn't need to have a spare pico laying around for the weekend project?”
“There are enough projects you can do with this little gadget. And the price (and the availability) gives me the opportunity to keep a PicoW per project, and not have to break it up to build a new project.”
“maybe I should not say this because I get from the big 3 pico suppliers. This is my first place to get stuff now. Adafruit is out of of stuff and the pihut takes longer.”
