Great little board works well, easy enough to use with Micropython and support is growing quickly. The coming incorporation in the Arduino IDE will be a big boost. The attached video clip looks a bit choppy on the recoding of the OLED screen but it is smooth in real life.

What a fun little cheap thing! I've used it so far with MicroPython. So much fun to toss a python algorithm onto it. I'm already thinking of several things I can do and little fun devices I can make. I need to make a standing order for several a month!

Exactly as I had hoped it would be. Already got too many projects lined up for migration to this controller, so will be picking up a few more!

All I'm waiting for now is the Arduino IDE to program it with, I write C++ code and the toolchain for the Pico in C++ is a mess

Nice cheap microprocessor with supporting infrastructure. The need to unplug and plug in to reset it is a pain though, a simple reset button next to the Boot button would have been an improvement! I've programmed it in Python using Thonny, and got two threads running within an hour or so of opening the box. It usually takes me a couple days to get the first program running on a new microprocessor, so this was a very welcome change! Next step is to get the C toolchain running but then the unplug, plug in with boot button pressed, drag uf2 file onto the pico, reboot cycle with every code change is going to be a real pain. And with no in-circuit-debugging through USB it's a bit limited when compared to some of the other micro platforms out there. But when using Python it's easy enough for anybody to get started!

This is a great new board for embedded projects. It is a big step up from the Arduino platform and the support that it should get with the Raspberry Pi Foundation behind it will be great. Also I expect that we'll see a lot of third party add-ons over the next few months. Also the price is great, it is going to make this kind of development much more accessible for beginners.

Awesome piece of kit. Much cheaper than an Arduino and much better suited to the kind of things I do. I'll have to get a few more for the ideas I have.
