“Bought to upgrade a security camera application using MotionEye OS as it was marketed as being a drop-in replacement for the original Pi Zero. Unfortunately this is not the case as the new hardware at low level is completely different. Luckily managed to find a modified version of the OS on the Internet written by some clever person who's been able to crack it! Have now got it working, and it's SO much better in terms of response (motion detection) and frame rate. Estimate I'm getting around 16 fps now instead of 2 to 3 on average. Not perfect, but more than adequate for its purpose, so I'm quite happy. I suspect the WiFi range is also greater than the original board's, but need to do further tests.”
