“Brilliant piece of design. Faster but still low power consumption. Ideal for running in the background managing data from weather station and publishing it to website.”
“Very capable machine, can hardly complain for £11. At first I was concerned about performance (it seemed slower than my old Zero W) but after some experimenting, switching to the legacy raspbian (buster) brought it in line with my expectations.
Would recommend using the legacy OS image (at least for the moment)”
“If you treat the Pi Zero 2 W as a fantastic iteration on the original Zero you'll love it. I wouldn't pick it as a pocket-desktop and it still struggles with low memory, for example, a normal-sized web project will still fail to `npm i` but I blame that on the absurdity of npm.
I use it as a micro-server and it's phenomenal value for money in that application. It's obviously silent and the wattage is so low that I have no concerns about running it 24/7.”
