“Fantastic all in one computer. The US keyboard layout is the one that we use in New Zealand. I have connected my Pi400 to a pimironi hyperpixel4 using an Ada fruit cyberdeck and found the instructions on the pimoroni site easy to follow. Sound is via a Bluetooth speaker.
Using a USB to sata cable also supplied by Pimoroni I have also been able to run from an external hard drive. This means that my Pi400 can be used at home with two displays or on the go with my battery pack. Such a versatile little Linux machine. I do run the operating system from a micro SD card when I am on the go.”
“The Pi 400 is now supported by OpenBSD, which is what I'm using it for. It all works pretty well. I haven't tested WiFi, but it shows up in ifconfig. Display output works using the EFI frame buffer device, so I have an X desktop running cwm, emacs etc. Text console works fine. It used to be that you had to use a serial device to run the installer, but not any more.
All in all I'm very happy with it. The speed is reasonable considering. I'm running OpenBSD from an external USB SSD. I used an SD card to do the initial install, but it doesn't need that any more either (it's *probably* possible to install directly with USB)”
