“This is my first raspberry PI and I have to say I can't believe what I was missing, having built large form PCs throughout my life its a true revelation to what these single board marvels are capable of. Also the forums of support from the numerous bakers is invaluable.

I had to connect to an HDMI screen to set to analog video out in configuration before it would work on a VGA screen - took most of an evening to find this out, as just a blank screen initially when using a VGA adapter.”
“This is a great machine. Much improved performance on its predecessors, although it runs a lot hotter. It does consume more power, so for portable applications, earlier models may be preferable, and, if you don't need the extra memory cheaper, but it does as described and works well as a desktop computer.
I am using mine with a PiSound card, and have built the latest version of Sonic Pi 3.2dev from source which works well with this.
