“Not as nippy as people would have you believe (I have various other Pi's). Boot from USB is missing at the moment too. Aside from that, if you're going to buy a Pi (& you should), this is the one to go for.”
“Overjoyed with the Pi4, went for the 4gb ram model and I'm using Raspbian Buster with it. Boots up in less than 10 seconds. I haven't explored all the new features yet but I've had it nearly a week now and the extra ram really makes a big difference, web pages load almost instantly and it plays video very well too. Overall it's a great improvement over previous models.”
“I love Raspberry Pis and this is no exception. People have their complaints but this computer is still pushing the limits of affordable SBC and I love it!”
“I just received my Pi yesterday so I havent had much time to test it, but so far it is working fantastically. The GPU is handling running a 4k desktop on it very well network seems fast and at the moment my bottleneck is the SD card. So i'm gonna look into external SSD to minimize that.
This tiny computer is now powerful enough to actually be considered a desktop replacement for light workloads.
All in all this is a fantastic piece of kit that I foresee sinking many hours and days tinkering tweaking testing and generally having a good time.
If you already have RPI3B+ and have the money buying one is a no brainer, if not try to save up for one because the upgrade is very much worth it.
If you dont have an RPI then what are you waiting for? Chop chop head for the order page and get your hands on one of these silicon and PCB marvels.”
“Very powerful device which opens up several new opportunities for new projects. However, the device is getting very hot so a fan is recommend in my opinion otherwise I am very happy with my purchase.”
