“Great little thing. Don't forget if you're buying one that it has particular connector needs, so check out whether you need these before you buy! (micro HDMI, micro SD, USB-C power connector).”
“Fantastic piece of kit. As an ex Sun Microsystems hardware engineer, comparing this to the £5-£10k systems I was working on 20 years ago is quite amusing. It's remarkable how similar in raw performance we're looking at. On a £55 credit card sized mini computer.
Anyway, as for people talking about it overheating, I've stuck two small heat sinks on the SOC and USB controller and added a small fan to the custom case I bought. Even with the SOC overclocked to 2ghz I'm getting 42 degrees at idle and 67 degrees after 15 minutes of stress testing. No issues here given the junction temp for this thing is 85 degrees.
Very satisfied with it and strongly recommended for anyone who likes to tinker with such things.”
“It is everything it is purported to be, does run a bit hot, but feels significantly faster than a 3b. If only retropie compiled on it without errors :(”
