“Works wonderfully. The only downside are the micro-usb connectors (an updated version with usb-c would be nice), but this small flaw is easily forgiven due to the low price, high quality, compact form factor and versatility.”
“No having to deal with WiFi dongles, the Raspberry Pi Zero W is ideal for small form factor projects. This allows for easy configuration and tweaking over SSH.
Other than that it is the same (still very small) form factor that the Pi Zero.”
“Amazing bit of kit for the money - very easy to get set up headless and not need a screen / HDMI adapter at all (flash the microSD and then a) add a placeholder file called 'SSH' at root and b) config the wifi details in wpa_supplicant.conf; lots of great tutorials online).”
“Hands down the best Pi released. There's lots that are faster, but that's not really the point. Tiny, low power device with wifi conectivity and runs linux. I've used it for many project, from Heating Control, Answerphone, Media Streamer and RTL_SDR radio reciever / decoder. All of which would have been a lot more difficult without this minor miracle. This is the defacto perfect SBC for any project.”
“This is an excellent device which I bought to replace a Raspberry Pi "B" that runs our church's website. The "B" was getting old and having problems when I tried to update it's operating system. The zero, although being "headless" was easy to set up and has performed faultlessly.”
“Very quick delivery from Pimoroni, as usual - thanks.
I'm using a number of Pi Zeros for battery-powered projects, where the low power-draw of the Zero is a huge advantage.
I'm astonished at the performance of the on-board wifi antenna which delivers a connection down the the 90 metres of my garden - important if you need NTS to synchronise the time.
Great product at a reasonable price.”
