“I love the Pi Zero W. This little SBC is incredible value for money.
I've got two in active use to far, one as a Pi-Hole ad-blocker, the other as a Squeezelite player connected to a Logitech Media Server.
A third one is waiting in the wings for use as a light sensor controller for a couple of Ikea Trådfri light bulbs, and I'm already looking for an excuse to buy a fourth one :-D”
“Arrived very quickly after being notified it was in stock. Will be used with a camera module for a security device using MotionEyeOS on the RPi Zero W. Built into a waterproof (hopefully) SD card case, and it just about fits, together with an IR switchable filter. See attached pictures. Processor runs very hot, so will be interested to see if it survives long-term, but it's been fine running throughout most of the day in the garden, cased up, with ambient temperatures in the high 80's. WiFi performance is amazing - connects to router in the middle of the house from the end of the garden which is about 35 ft away! Only problem is the frame rate and resolution are a bit limited, but this isn't the fault of the RPi as it's a single core processor and excellent value for money. Long-term performance will be the real test, but I'm very happy with the results so far.”
“Great bit of kit, I have set mine up as a tilt pi so I can record my homebrew without having to use a smartphone or tablet. It's a brilliant cheap option.
I will be purchasing a pi4 in a few months for another project I have in mind. I'm late to the party on Pi's but I'm a firm fan.”
