“If you need a small processor to perform a single job, this could be the board for you. It can do most of the functions of the bigger Raspberry Pis but slower. I have mine monitoring my UPS, and it's an excellent choice for this.”
“Easy to order, Fast Delivery, Well packed. Thanks to Pimironi.
Related to the Pi ZW, it has lots of pros, but the 2.4 GHz wifi (compared with 5GHz) and the low-speed USB OTG (compared with USB2/3) are the weaknesses points.
Maybe we should wait for PI ZW+ ?!”
“cheap, easy to install Raspberry Pi OS by flashing to an SD card from MacOS, works brilliantly as wireless CUPS printer server to turn my old printer wireless.”
“The diminutive SBC that could! I accidentally killed an old one I had desoldering the header for use in a Retroflag GPi case (oops) so had to get a new one. Pimoroni ensured I had one the next working day!”
“The Pi Zero W is the most useful Pi I've had the pleasure of building projects with. From it's small size to the onboard WiFi it's versatility is endless.
I often use them for projects where a full sized pi is too powerful but a microcontroller just won't cut it.
My most recent project couples one with a HDMI capture card to allow wireless RTSP streaming of dSLR camera and more...
