“What can I add to the thousands of reviews of the Pi Zero W? Almost a consumable price-wise but with astounding capabilities, particularly from the perspective of a late 1970s electronic engineering graduate. Hot topics around the time I graduated were the possibility of blue LEDs (ever promised but never appearing) and bubble memory (which I don't remember ever hitting the mainstream), the latter promising cheap but slow memory at a time when 2k of static RAM cost £20 or so. Zilog Z80 CPUs running at 2MHz were the go-to processors. Fast forward to today and I can buy a whole computer (albeit without peripherals) for almost half the price that static memory cost me in 1978. I'm showing my age I know but sometimes I just have to pause and consider what wonderous things are available today to hobbyists and professionals alike....”
“Excellent piece of technology - I am currently using it for a Drone project of mine and it works very well! I've been using Raspbian with it and the idea that something as small as a Raspb Pi 0 W is capable of being used for my drone project as a way of processing video data and sending it to a base station is magnificent! Although my excitement may just be because I'm not very knowledgeable with this type of stuff much. A great product regardless!”
