The Raspberry Pi Zero W is excellent value for money and very versatile. I paired mine with a RetroFlag GPi Case, which I felt was an ideal introductory project to this particular Raspberry Pi variant.

“Great little pi, running as a headless ssh server, with pi-hole for blocking ads. Replaced a rpi2 with this single core board. Only down side ive found is I had some issues with ssh freezing, turns out to be a power supply issue, once connected to a better ac output its worked flawlessly.”
“I am normally an Arduino "Guy" ... However the Raspberry Pi Zero W really is a fantastic piece of kit. Knew it was small but on arrival I realise that has so many features, so much potential as far as IoT is concerned. I already have a couple of small "systems" under my belt with more to follow.
Really impressed by the software available it really does help in getting things moving quickly.
