“There isn't really anything special to say. This version, without the GPIO header, fits the "official" case without needing a hole that exposes the pins, and for some things that's very good. I am running Pi-Hole for my network, and that doesn't need GPIO, just the wifi connection. And exposed GPIO pins would just be an accident waiting to happen for that use.
This is a bit of a niche, and there are small cases that will fully protect a Pi Zero with headers. This is still a powerful computer, though I could see a next generation Pi Zero having USB-C and more RAM.”
