“I bought this as a replacement for an existing remote of the same type - the RM433R1 (I think my wife dropped our original one too many times!). The remote was easy to pair after finding the best way on Reddit! The remote works fine over a good range with it being RF based, and I also noticed that the design has now changed on the latest version of this as the battery has gone to a button cell CR2450 from the 12v 'mini AAA' type in the orginal remote.
Users of this remote will know that although the buttons are positive and well made, the markings are truly awful. I'm sure someone could cash in making either one big sticker for the remote to overlay over the top, or just a collection as the symbols are not only small, but are not obvious in their function and they may as well have been Egyptian hieroglypics! Over all though I'm very pleased and a good remote.”
“Arrived very quickly especially so close to the Christmas period. Nice little remote that mounts magnetically to the base, which comes with double sided stickers or screws for fixing to wall. The remote I used to control a 4CH PRO UNIT. If you follow the instructions it took me 5 mins to program all 4 CH on different lighting circuits. This remote is very handy when the Wifi goes down for any reason if controlled from phone or Alexa. Nice little remote and very reasonably priced. Well done PIMORONI.”
