With a range of 150cm the GP2Y0A60SZLF is one of the longer range analog infrareds available, until you get into the really large form factor ones. Being analog I can convert the voltage to distance with reasonable accuracy. Note that there are two options for supply voltage on this one, 3V and 5V. As noted on the product page, the 5V version has an output voltage differential of 3 volts, whereas the 3V model it's only 1.6 volts. This is pretty significant, and if you're planning to use the sensor to measure distance you'll likely want to consider using the 5V model just to get that higher differential.”
