“Nice smart display that doesn't look out of place in a domestic environment. Bad parts: needs more weight at the back to prevent it toppling forwards. The USB port is poorly placed so that the cable will always be prominent. Would be improved by an ambient light sensor on the front so that the brightness can be moderated in software.
Python examples are minimal -- useful but no substitute for a proper tutorial and API reference. Too many of them assume you have the full starter pack rather than the bare unit. It would be nice if all the examples (and tutorial and API ref) were duplicated in C++.”
“It's a very neat device. Easy to program in Python with Thonny. I have mine currently showing the UK electricity energy mix. I would prefer it to have a few i/o pins rather than having to use a separate i2c device for wired i/o.”

“It's a fun thing, especially programming things on the screen is fun work.
It's still a beta version, sometimes I get a timeout when I ping a server while that server is up. But all in all a fun hobby thing.
I have one that shows the train departure times and one that shows the status and remaining print time of my 3d printers.”
