“Really nicely presented RP2350 board with TFT display. But it is really hiding its light under a bushel! Dispite the lovely multi-colour PCB art, nowhere does it mention 'RP2350' let alone that it is actually the maximal 'B' version! Another small miss is that two metal legs are provided to prop the board at an angle, but the corner mounting holes are not big enough for the leg's screw. However it works fine just using one of the legs, mounted in the lanyard slot.”
“It's a thing of beauty.
Nice demo software to give you a warm fuzzy feeling that all is working and some inspiration on your first project.
Seems to be aimed mostly an python lovers. I'm a stinky old C lover myself so looking forward to getting down and dirty with the schematics and RP2350 docs.
Please see pic of my explorer and my warm fuzzy feeling”
“The Pimoroni Explorer is a real delight. The built-in programmes are all good examples of how to drive the LCD, the servo outputs, and other peripherals. I really like the fact that the background of the LCD matches the silkscreen printing on the front of the unit! So far, I have only tried the built-in programmes, but I have great plans. By the way, if anyone wants to use a Picoprobe or the Raspberry Pi debug probe, the connections are available as pads on the underside of the board, approximately underneath button "A". Though I would recommend anchoring any flying leads to avoid damage to the tracks on the board.”
