Very good and comprehensive kit. Easy to assemble if a little fiddley due to the size of the components. Worked straight out of the box with very little setup required. Overall an interesting experience.

The best upgrade everyone should add to their RaspberryPi5. The increase in disk I/O is massive when compared to an SD card, even high speed SD cards. The Pi5 boots in seconds and I'm now able to use the KDE-Plasma Desktop and still have a snappy, fast, reactive desktop experience! Apps start instantly, O/S updates are super fast and the Pi5 now makes a great desktop computer. Such a shame the new Pi500 doesn't have NVME SSD capability, a deal breaker!

Clear, detailed, instructions made fitting the base very easy. Installing the OS was so quick I thought it had failed to do it properly. Setting up, installing updates, and running for the first time was amazing. Having multiple programs and terminals running simultaneously is incredible. If you're thinking about buying a Pi 5 then factor this base into your budget. If you have a 5 already this should be right at the top of your shopping list. Delivery was less than 24 hours from ordering to fitted and running!

Very quick & simple to assemble. I followed the instructions on the Pimoroni page and very shortly had a Pi 5 booting from a 250gb NVME. Pi 5 now runs faster than ever!

As an experiment, I set up my Pi 5 with the NVMe Base and 256GB SSD (plus 3GHz overclock) and I'm now able to edit 4k video from my Gopro! This is a revelation! My tiny 8GB Rasperry Pi 5 is doing the impossible. I highly, highly recommend the SSD and Base as the ultimate Pi upgrade. What an astounding time to be alive.
