“The Pibow Coupe 5 looks amazing and it is simple to install. Unlike most other Raspberry Pi cases, this one is light and doesn't hide too much of the beautiful board that it encases. I love it!”
“The case looks cool and I really want to like it however, I have issues with it. There should be some clear instructions about how this case is supposed to work with the power button. You won't figure it out until it is too late the case is supposed to cover the power button; so don't cut the case to try and free the power button. Also when assembled, the case prevents the official Raspberry PI power adapter 27W from staying plugged in. One layer of the sides is too large and should be cut down so that the power adapter has more room to fit.”
Ahoy Jesse
Sorry to hear that - please could you send us some photos to support@pimoroni.com showing what's not fitting/working and we'll do our best to help?
“Awful product. Despite being pictured and the description says it is compatible with the official Raspberry Pi Active Cooler, **It is NOT**. Yes it will all fit together but: (1) you need to fit the case first before applying the cooler, and subsequently; (2) the base of the cooler rests on part of the case - This prevents the correct amount of pressure from being applied between the heatsink and IC's. It may only be 1 mm too high, perhaps less. BUT the fact remains that the spring on the spring-loaded pin (there to regulate the pressure), is fully compressed on one side. They could easily make the case compatible with the cooler - but currently, the design is just lazy and shouldn't have passed QC of any self-respecting company.”
“Problem with part of the case moulding being out of alignment and too proud with the power switch on the RPi5, causing it to be permanently closed and thus trying to prevent startup or making it permanently shutdown. A little filing to reduce the protrusion fixes it.”
Ahoy Roger!
We've tweaked some of the layers to allow for a bit more play around the power button - drop us an email at support@pimoroni.com if you'd like to try some of the new ones :)
