Easy to assemble and get running. Used the hammer head connection rather than soldering. Far easier to use and quicker. Very impressed and will use this company again.

Bought this kit with one of the Pirates Offer's (How dare they make me spend less money) , This new kit comes supplied in the new plastic box ,which is great for future use and transporting around your Pi and l.e.d.s,leads etc. the bad news is because it is now in a box it wont fit thru the letter box :-/ I purposely bought this to put in multi coloured gpio pins as a challenge and I have to say it was a bit of a pain but worth it in the end,Have a few people comment on it and some even had ago after I showed the the result. Nice piece of kit - you WILL have to solder ( or order hammer head pins) to gain access to the gpio's this kit also come supplied with Blinkt which is excellent for playing with gpios light goes on light goes off

I've bought the Raspberry Pi Zero W for my grandson who lives in Germany. He will be visiting this week. So far I have fixed the board into a case (easy) and worked out the connectors. We will start going a bit deeper when he arrives later today. As he in 13 I am expecting him to work things out. He has a particular interest in robotics, but I thing anything that he can get the kit to do is good. We will begin with a camera. I live in Sheffield and thought I would be able to get into the Pimoroni address but found that I could not. Shame - I'd like to look at stuff and get him along there. Very optimistic that this is going to be a good long term investment in his learning. Mike Granville

Excelent starter kit. The assembly instructions are easy to follow and there is plenty of information on the Pimoroni website to get you started. It requires some skill (and patience) to solder the 40pin header, but it is a nice soldering exercise to practice your skills :)

I love this kit! So far I've used it (with a little velcro tape) as an undershelf light, and found an old frosted glass cube and turned that into a portable lamp. The leds are bright, and not power hungry. It runs for hours on a powerpack that you'd use to recharge a phone, so it's easy to take anywhere. Would recommend for novice, and expert alike. Also it looks adorable. If only we could buy more of them at a time ;)

The starter kit is perfect. With the instructions on the website assembling the parts was easy. Only the solldering was a little bit difficult for me. But this was because I don't have much experience with soldering. But now it's done and I have a lot of fun with my Pi Zero W Starter Kit. My recommendation: Buy it !!!

This great kit had everything I needed to get started with the RPi Zero W. I appreciate that it's relatively minimal, but has everything you really need to get started. And, the Blinkt is a fun peripheral to experiment with. All-in-all, couldn't be much more pleased!
