“After watching Kevin McAleer's YouTube video and getting the Indoor, I fell in love with the appearance of the board, the data it provides and the flexibility of forking and running your own code. But I started to obsess with the Urban and its PM2.5 sensor.
It's an amazing board, though I have consistently had issues with the battery connector and run it off of microUSB on the wall outlet.
The microphone is not very sensitive at low noise environments - the background noise of the ADC makes it have low sensitivity below 50dB or so. But I understand it was designed to be placed outdoors, next to a street where cars are passing. I use it in my bedroom to monitor asthma-provoking triggers.
But I'm really enjoying all my Enviros (Pico Aboard) and I hope they never discontinue this line!”
“Clean, well thought out device. Relatively easy setup and deployment, athough the documentation can occasionally be slightly lacking. However, in general, I'd say even a novice can successfully enjoy this as a weekend project.
I did have one device fail on me for an unknown reason, but Pimoroni was quick to be responsive and send a replacement without further question. Great customer support.”
