Added this to my collection of different display types used for teaching students. Works well and reasonably priced.

Screen useful as a badge or to display data that do not need to be refreshed regularly

This is probably the easiest way how to play with the (multi-color) e-ink display. Very easy to set up and use. The limiting factor is the number of available blocks in the Microsoft Makeblock. Also, I haven“t found a way how to draw images bigger than 10x5 pixels, which was quite limiting considering the big resolution of the screen. Only one font to print a text. Still, I had a great time using the display and I cannot wait to use it for some project.

Fun addition to the Micro:Bit. The pixel density is high enough to look really nice without being wasting memory/computing resources. The display is a good size for experimenting and displaying useful amounts of data as a passive display. I only have two minor complaints. First, placing the deep Micro:Bit connector on the front of the board obscures or casts a shadow over the eink display when vertically oriented. Second is that the refresh time is ~11 seconds which limits some possible use cases. Example "Game of Life" implementation I was able to quickly write and get running to try out the inky:bit - https://github.com/Mikem3catsus/gol_eink
