“Hardware is good but the software is plagued with issues on the latest Raspberry PI OS. Had to edit to alter some code to get allows the screen code to work (Pillow library updated method needed). So far I have got either the audio or the buttons working but not both at once.”

Sorry to hear that you've run into problems! The latest version of Raspberry Pi OS (Trixie) is very new, so you may have an easier time if you install the previous/legacy version (Bookworm). Alternatively, if you open up an issue (with as much detail as you can about what's not working and the full text of any errors that you're getting) we'll do our best to get the software fixed up:
