“Really easy way to cool the Raspberry Pi 4 B. In it's official case it tends to overheat getting up to 80 degrees centigrade and then starts throttling the performance to get the heat down. With the fan in place it doesn't go much over 60 degrees C and take the lid off and it rarely gets above 40!! It's a doddle to fit even though there are no instuctions and it just works as soon as you connect it. You can do a bit of software fiddling which will turn the fan on and off thermostatically but it is so quiet you don't really notice itis on. All in all it's a great cooling solution!!”
“The fan shim was easy to assemble and fitting is a piece of cake. It would have been nice if it could have been used with a heat sink but you can't have everything I suppose.”
“Does obstruct a few pins on the header but great as a cooling solution in the interim - if you want to use the full gpio range though it would be better to choose a different fan.”
“Is not parallel to the board because of imperfection on the screw points. I don't think they were imperfections in the specific fan but in the design.”
