“The display is crisp and easily readable despite only being the size of the Raspberry Pi - the supplied fixings are all good to ensure its mounted properly and safely and the software install is simple and effective to get the screen running. Issues (hence 4 stars not 5) is the display is fragile, especially the ribbon cable (had to RMA the first one as the cable was faulty) and no case seems to exist for it (needs a 3D print project!), and once installed the HDMI output can't be used. The display mounts on the GPIO pins, but one note is you can't use a GPIO extension cable (if you wanted to physically separate the display from the Pi) so that limits install options also to physically mounting on the Pi only.”
“Resolution of this display is really neat. Although, it might seem a bit small to read terminal/console text on it. Also it would be nice if the Pimoroni software you need to install would also contain some functionality to turn the display off or show a screensaver after a while. Also if you turn off the Raspberry it should also turn off the display which it doesn't do out of the box.”
“Great. Unfortunately I had to opt for the non-touch version as it was out of stock. Works really well though, I had another smaller 2.4inch screen before that could not deliver 60fps. Very nice for movies, gaming etc.”
