Works a treat and great tutorial. Worth it if you're worried about soldering or don't want to start. Good online tutorial too.

If you have a rpi zero w and need it to have the GPIO headers soldered you have 3 options. Solder them on yourself , buy an overpriced one from Amazon or buy this kit :-) You could use a hammer but i used these https://www.wilko.com/en-uk/wilko-speed-clamp-6in/p/0339068 from Wilko's but there are others out there and you just gently clamp the header to your pi. Easy as pi lol

This jig is great and was much easier to use then expected. The only issues I found with it were that it was hard to keep the header level when hammering in and that, in my case, even when making sure i had a flat surface, it was easy for me to hammer the pins through too much so not all of the male header made a connection to the female header. I got round this by taping the 2 base pieces together so that the bottom piece didn't flex away.

These Hammer Headers are genius. I only regret that I didn't add more to my shipment. I'm not great with the soldering iron, so these let me get moving quickly.
