“Building the kit was easy and straight forward. I would say this is the ideal robotics kit for beginners. But I would have paid at least a pound more for a kit with proper steel nuts and bolts instead of the provided nylon ones. 2mm nylon threads are too easy to break. In my case the threads of the bolts that are used to fix the motors slipped through their nuts even without applying force.”
“After watching the build video by Connor plant was easy enough to put together and insert the pi zero till even if the zero did hang on one side. I finished building it only to realise that I was missing one jumper jerky cable. So i contacted Pimoroni the next day and with in a few hours i got a reply saying they will sort the problem so they sent me a packet of at least 40+ jumper jerky wires excellent service and help although I did need the video to build.”
“Bought this to show my daughter how much fun she can have with her Pi. Great fun to be had. The setup instructions are a google away then you have a platform to explore more options!”
“It's a nice robot it works - you do need the youtube video to construct it.
However I couldn't find a cylindrical usb battery (as shown in youtube video) which fits the battery clips supplied. So currently my robot is tethered to the power cable :-(
Question: Pimoroni do you sell a usb cylindrical battery?”
“This was my first robot kit that I ever used. It was really easy to build and attach everything that you need in order to get your little robot rolling around your house.
Make sure that you do follow the video that is in the description because otherwise it can be a bit confusing to work out how all of the pieces connect together.”
