“My second order so you know I really like this hub but a person must read the Mega4 user manual at uugear.com to fully appreciate the features. My main interest is managing mixed USB2 and USB3 high speed devices and that it works out of the box with no software on the Raspberry Pi 3 and 4 and Lenovo laptop running Ubuntu Linux.”
“The MEGA-4 has a lot of high end features that are buried in the user manual, I especially like the MTT port management that is never mentioned in other USB hub products . The other important feature is having MY option to power it from a high current 5 volt power supply for my power hungry remote controlled astronomy USB gear. Obtaining maximum current for high speed cameras is important for proper operation. I designed and 3d printed a custom case to fit my requirements, another plus and am fitting a hard wired 12VDC to 5.2VDC 3 amppower supply directly to the DC input terminals to remove USB cable power problems.
Might I suggest UUGEAR offer super high quality FLEXIBLE USB power cable and Hub to Pi cable 6 inches to 18 inches long because good cables are hard to find.
