“The KittenBot KOI seems a great device to start exploring artificial intelligence.
The documentation is exclusively written in Chinese and is quite frugal.
So do not forget to use the Google translator which provides a quite correct translation into English.
The actual difficulty using the device is its development phase, not on the hardware side, but on the programming side. KittenBlock, a Scrath 3 extension, is still in development in particular as far as its stand alone version is concerned. To start programming with KittenBlock the only possibility is using the online version which seems also in its development phase and requires your computer safety protections to be relaxed.
An other possibility is writing a Python program to address the internal KOI functions through the serial interface, not for programming beginners. I have not yet tried this.
In conclusion, it is a good device, but the finalised version of KittenBlock offline version will be of great help to explore its capabilities thoroughly.”
“I really want to like this item, it's got so much potential, but the kittenbot kittenblock software doesn't work.
I managed to flash it with different firmware so I can use micropython with it, still trying to work out how to use it with that, documentation is very very light.
I'm hoping with updates, it will become more usable.
Also, no idea/documentation on connecting the UART to the RPI - and what you can do using it. I was hoping it could be used in conjunction with code on the pi.”
