“Got this with an M5 Atom to try my luck with ESP32. Like the ATOM, this can be programmed with their UiFlow software (Through Cloud/Wi-Fi or Serial USB), it allows to do some basic stuff, but also offers a little interface designer to ease the work on placing text or basic shapes on the color screen, which is pretty convenient for displaying data offered by the little device.
Just like the ATOM though, I got some trouble using some advanced features with this tool, such as HTTP, BLE or power management (the battery will hardly last more than a hour at full-use), and got more lucky through the Arduino IDE.
Overall, this is an incredibly low-priced device for everything it offers. Little undocumented bonus : there's actually a small magnet at the back of the thing, good enough for sticking to a magnetic whiteboard !”
