“A great heatsink case for the Pi Zero 2!
Comes with an allen key and pre-cut thermal pads so you can get your Pi installed quickly and have it passively cooling in no time at all.
Since installing it I've just forgotten about it which is great because I'm not constantly worrying that my Pi Zero 2 is getting too hot.
And as an added bonus when I do look at my little Pi, it looks really nice in that black aluminium case.
Would highly recommend grabbing one of these as they're very decent for the price!”
“This is a great little case, to help keep the Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W cool. It adds some weight to it too, which helps to keep the Pi stable when wires are plugged into it.”
“Bought a load of bits for a few projects I wanted to start but unfortunately broke my hand in between ordering and delivery.
So I haven't yet started on the projects I ordered them for.
But the Heatsink looks very cool.
As for delivery, it was fast and well packaged and I will certainly order more bits as with all this spare time I have at the moment, I'm coming up with plenty of new ideas....
Maybe a robotic hand incase mine never heals.”
“A nice simple case for my Pi Zero 2 W. It provides some cooling as well as good protection for the Pi. With several spare silicon heat sink pads in case I ever need to pull the board out and put it back in (if I get a set of header pins to solder in, for instance).”
“Fits great and is easy to install and well made. It's cold here now so not sure how much difference in temperature it is making but will continue to monitor when the hotter months roll round.”
“This case is really nice for the Pi Zero 2. It covers the board well, and provides solid protection.
I use this case currently for 2 separate projects.
1. Pimoroni's unicorn hat for the Zero. This case is perfect for that. The hat has no connectors underneath so it sits properly and looks awesome.
The lost star comes from 2 specific drawbacks to this case that were exposed in my second use case.
1. The sd card sticks out of the case about 2.5mm which is an annoyance.
2. It is not suitable for hats that have any kind of connector on the bottom. I'm using this case with the Enviro and Enviro+ hats for the Pi Zero and it causes the boards to sit raised on the GPIO pins. It's not a dealbreaker, but it does cause visual misalignment with one side of the board higher than the other. The result is that the board sits at an angle, and does not look good.
For the Enviro original, it's the display connector.
For the Enviro+ it's the particulate connector.
Overall, I'd happily buy this case again for hats that will sit flat on it. I would not for any hats that have connections of any kind on the bottom.”
