“It’s pretty straight forward? Holds 3 batteries, provides power. Does the job, no issues. This is the third or fourth time I’ve bought these ones. The first time I got one I couldn’t figure out what the issue was and took far too long to figure out there was a power switch on the battery hold - pro tip right there, make sure that switch is flicked to on.”
“Works as expected - of course. Nothing too sphisticated but an important upgrade for my Enviro Pico W Aboard's to last longer even when WiFi is a bit weak.”
“**VERY IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR MICRO:BIT USERS AND USERS OF OTHER MICROCONTROLLERS**
This battery pack works perfectly well with my micro:bit, and should work flawlessly with yours, too! Another battery pack that has micro:bit compatibility explicitly mentioned is also offered, but this one here is cheaper and arguably considerably better. The other battery pack I speak of takes two AAA batteries, and, at full capacity, will output the 3.3V the micro:bit works best with. However, once those batteries start draining, they might provide the micro:bit with a lower voltage; brownout time.
This battery pack here takes three AA batteries, netting it MUCH more capacity, which should mean a longer runtime for your micro:bit. While this model here is capable of providing a higher voltage (3.3V-4.5V specified), my micro:bit has worked perfectly well taking just 3.3V from it, and these three AAs should last considerably longer powering a micro:bit than two AAAs would.
In short, I highly recommend you grab this 3xAA battery pack instead of the 2xAAA one for your micro:bit, unless the considerably chunkier size really puts you off! For me, the added size of this battery pack is more than made up for with the substantially longer runtime it should end up offering with its 3xAA batteries. And yes, in case you were concerned, the connector is identical and fits my micro:bit just fine, as pictured.

Pimoroni's services have crushed it with this order once again, spoiling me with next-day delivery which surpassed my expectations.
I ended up having to order from another maker store not long afterwards on a Friday, and this came on Tuesday, which felt pretty much like an eternity by comparison.
I have for years remained loyal to Pimoroni and will continue to recommend it by default as the de-facto store for all things Raspberry Pi and DIY electronics in general.
Fabulous services, impeccable support, fast delivery times, reasonable prices and a solid selection of goodies; what more could one want?

**NEVER DISPOSE OF BATTERIES IN YOUR NORMAL RUBBISH BIN OR RECYCLING BIN!!!**
This would be not only really bad for the environment, but would also be very likely to start a fire!
