“The length seems ideal to mate two sets of female headers together. But this is not why I purchased them, they are perfect to fit into an arduino shield which is to be stacked above a shield with taller components which normally prevent a shield from being stacked on top. Using these I was able to stack an LCD Keypad shield on top of an Arduino Ethernet Shield which was not possible prior to fitting these pins as the standard ones were too short.”
