“I bought this item in May 2023 for a camera based weather station. It has just completed 18 months continuous service in an enclosure which sits on a pole in the back yard in all weathers, it has suffered no obvious degradation and is fit for further service. The wide angle lens makes it ideal for whole sky imaging.”
“I got this to monitor my 3D printer and it works very well with a piZero 2W
- the focussing is a bit fiddly and could benefit from a larger knurled lens mount.
160 degrees turns out to be ludicrously wide angled - meaning the camera needs to be very close to the print bed - stood 2 inches from the build plate it still only fills half the frame - good camera and lens but possibly not ideal for a 3D printing monitor”

Probably should have gone with the non-IR filtered lens, as this variable focus mount/lens is not compatible with much out there.”
“Very good but not for everything. I prefer to use for close up images eg inside a bird box, or filming close up work. Gets loads in the frame. I struggled to get it to focus on distances eg as a camera filming a room. For that I'd suggest the zero cam 120 degree fixed focus.”
