“I bought these to make a cluster to learn Ceph and Longhorn. Unlike some others I tried, they work with Linux and Raspberry Pi without issue or the need to update the firmware. The only slight issue is that the bulk of the SATA connector is on the bottom, rather than the top which makes mounting underneath the pi slightly harder. I've bought many of these now though with no issues.”

The lead on the adapter is short but that is not a problem, the product works with my usb extension leads. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to run a sata device through their usb.”
