“I have done several projects using the Adafruit Featherwing OLED. The last two have been used in conjunction with the Adafruit Feather Huzzah ESP8266. I would recommend Adafruit products as being top quality with unequalled on line support documentation.

“Had trouble getting it to work initially due to a lot of outdated information on the website - such as sketches referring to other versions of the OLED device. However, once I managed to get the correct sketches with the appropriate libraries for my project, the OLED burst into life. It's a great little screen, very bright and clear. Sits perfectly atop my Adafruit LoRa feather - a nice compact little unit!”
“I finally got this working with the help of the Adafruit forum. It needs library Adafruit_SH 110x.h There is an example OLED sketch is for another variant. Plugs into the feather logger but I only stood it on a dozen legs rather than all of them to make it easier to unplug. You can cut sections from 28 pin DIL bases to make shorter sockets.”
