“Great idea, but we hardly ever get a Bluetooth connection between it and the mobile phone that we wanted to use. Contacted support at 1Sheeld and they just said it was a problem with the phone, since the 1Sheeld connects ok with our Samsung tablet. We haven't had problems with the Bluetooth on the phone with anything else. Disappointing.”
“This product does exactly what it says: creates a bridge between your smartphone and Arduino, where you can exchange information. You can get GPS coordinates, temperature, send texts, post on Facebook or Twitter with a single and simple line of code. You really feel that they have done everything for you, and instead of spending time with 5 different shields trying to get them all to work, you can use this one single shield and focus on solving the fun and interesting problems instead. This shield makes you ask the question "What can I do with this data?" instead of "How can I access this data?".
Finally, I really have to touch on the customer support. There is no word to describe it frankly, it was not only fast but it was extremely personal, comprehensive and very seriously done. You won't get any of the usual "We apologize for this inconvenience, have you tried turning it off and on again?" customer service, they actually treat you as a specific individual and help you extensivly.
When writing a program for my Arduino using the 1Sheeld I encountered a problem and decided to contact the customer service to resolve my issue. After I explained my problem, the customer service representative actually contacted the 1Sheeld development team regarding MY issue. So not only did I get a serious and helpful response by a real person, I actually got a reply from the development team of the product I bought.
So all in all, I fullheartedly recommend this product and give it a solid 5”
