“Beautiful to look at but not fit for purpose as it doesn't keep anything hot.
I have now tried several different drinks, soups and stews. I always pre heat the flask but it is tepid at best after 4-5 hours. Disappointed”

I'm really sorry to hear this.
As long as the Food Flask is being preheated, completely filled to the top and the food is put in as hot as possible, it should be keeping your food hot for up to 10 hours.
