“My email to Savoy Timber; I have waited in all day for this delivery, you have failed to honour your commitment to delivery the items that were paid for over two weeks ago. I tried to contact your Wigan office today at 4.15pm to confirm that I would receive the delivery as promised, I was on the the line until 4.45pm without anyone taking the trouble to answer the phone. At 4.45pm I rang your head office and spoke to a lady, I explained the situation, she put me on hold, when she returned she informed me that she had spoken to the Wigan branch manager and assured me that the items would be delivered this evening probably after 5pm. I have waited until 6.30pm, again no delivery. I now have to cancel my joiner who was due to fit the plywood tomorrow morning. I would like to hear your reasons for taking my payment and not delivering the goods. I received the reply the next day; Im really sorry about this, we was dealing with a vehicle breakdown so im not sure why the team you spoke to confirmed delivery. As far as im aware at the store, the vehicle broke down and this is coming to you this morning.the vehicle broke down aps this is coming to you this morning. Again I am sorry about this. My response]; Obviously someone isn't telling the truth. All this could have been avoided if you would have let me know the situation during the day. The delivery was made today, 10 sheets of 8 x 4 pluwood, however it was all stacked up against my pvc window frames, pretty irresponsible when I asked that it be left on the drive or in the garage.I need another 20 of these sheets, I won't be coming to Savoy Timber for them though, the whole experience is been appalling.”

“Great wood yard, price and product quality! Delivery man very friendly. Layed a great subfloor. Used a few times now and great that the cut in store for free!! Will use again and recommend!!”

“Wood good. Customer service bad. Wasn’t really bothered about the delivery being out of timeframe and having to help unload as they were a guy short but ripping my wife off when she miss took savoys for a different DIY store. She was clearly confused and was being pushed to buy the most expensive of all the items I needed even though the picture I sent showed the name of the other store. Apparently they only do 30mm clout nails when I know they have buckets of different sizes. They charged her 3 times as much for a ground sheet and gave her boxes of the most expensive screws. Unacceptable”
