“Poor service, absolutely no customer service skills whatsoever. I needed some OSB boards for an insulation project so I went to Savoy Timber as they had size I needed. I was on crutches so was struggling with mobility yet I was sent around the whole store by staff members to try and talk to someone about my requirements. I was actually sent back to the first guy I spoke to who then took my order. Before paying and arranging delivery, I asked whether the delivery guy would be able to take the boards upstairs for me as if they were left in the hallway, it would be a fall hazard for me whilst using crutches. Not a problem at all, said the guy on the till, we'll be happy to help given youre on crutches and csnt move the. Great, I thought, so I paid and arranged delivery for later in the week. When they arrived, the driver flatly refused to take them up to my landing - he said he was doing me a favour anyway by putting them in the hallway. I explained that I'd been told they would be taken upstairs so he rang the shop. When he'd finished he said no, Savoy Timber aren't insured to carry them WTAF?!! So, they were propped up in my hallway and as predicted, I did fall and had to be taken to A&E to check my total knee implant hadnt become displaced. I'm still severely bruised, swollen and in chronic pain due to being lied to, mis-led and the total lack of customer service from this company. Anything to get the sale, right lads?! Absolutely disgraceful.”
