“I have to say what a disappointment Savoy were. I have previously dealt with them and they have been great. On this occasion I placed my order and heard nothing. We are talking standard planed timber here in a common size. When placing the order you are given the impression that the materials are in stock and delivery would be within a couple of days. In the event I had to chase customer services without reply as well as making several phone calls to the relevant branch who also never picked up the phone. Yes my order was close to Christmas but if a business is open then the service should be consistent no matter what. In the end I cancelled , went to B and Q and paid more - but got the job done. Tradesmen are a rare commodity these days and I didn’t want to lose my booked day with one for the sake of paying a bit more for the materials. P.s I think the system of advertising prices of planed timber by 300mm length is frankly ridiculous. The web site also does not allow you to choose the lengths you want the timber delivered in ??? This I cannot understand and presumably savoy could have delivered numerous short lengths of unusable material and be deemed to have honoured the contract. CW Berry (Leyland) have a far superior system. The web site allows you to select the lengths you want your timber in. They also e mail you quickly (in my experience the next day) with a delivery date.”

“While the quality was up to the usual standard, the cutting was way off. I ordered 4" x 2" but what was delivered was 3 5/8" x 1 3/4"”
